Chris Stapleton Performs New Song With John Mayer

John Mayer had a special guest join him on stage at Thursday’s concert at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Chris Stapleton came out and the two performed a brand new song that they just had written.
Mayer told the crowd about his conversation with Stapleton before the show. Mayer explained, “I said ‘You wanna do one of my songs or one of your songs?’ And he said. ‘We could do either or we could just write a song and play it.’ “I said ‘Challenge accepted.'”They wrote the song on Wednesday. Stapleton stayed on to help Mayer with Slow Dancing In A Burning Room.
