Chance the Snapper was no match for Frank from Florida…

Whatever you call our resident alligator–Chance the Snapper, Ruth Gator Ginsberg–you’ll likely be calling it “caught” now!

After miles of fencing was placed around the Humboldt Park pond on Chicago’s South Side, the area calmed down after being bombarded with gator-gawkers trying to catch a glimpse of the creature. The city also called in a professional trapper from Florida named Frank Robb from St. Augustine to catch the gator humanely.

There’s a press conference scheduled for 10 am today, since word is now that Frank did indeed have a “chance” to catch “Chance”, and the waters of the Humboldt Park pond are still and calm once again, and no one needs to worry what lies beneath…
