Best Friends Who Asked People to ‘Relax and Have a Beer,’ Get a Call From Brad Paisley

Brad Paisley surprised best friends, Benjamin Smith and Marcus Ellis after their photo showing them in a driveway sitting together as they enjoyed a beer went viral. Beside them was a sign that read: “Black or White, relax and have a beer.”

The image was shared across social media and reached Brad Paisley who surprised Smith and Ellis with a Zoom call.
“Man, I am so thrilled to meet you, face to face like this,” Paisley said. “I’m so inspired by you, and we thought we should deliver more beer than you could possibly drink… This is going to be a popular destination on this street.”
Paisley, who recently released “There’s no “I” in Beer,” continued the Zoom conversation with Smith and Ellis for half an hour. Smith and Ellis have been friends for years after working together building cell phone towers. Here’s the complete story from FOX-5 San Diego.
