The Bears roller-coaster season is over following a 21-9 Wild Card loss to the Saints in New Orleans. Mitchell Trubisky finished 19-of-29 for 199 yards and a TD to Jimmy Graham on the final play of game for Chicago. David Montgomery was held to just 31 yards on 12 carries in defeat The future is up in the air for Bears’ quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and perhaps more. Trubisky is a free agent this offseason after General manager Ryan Pace didn’t pick up his fifth-year option last offseason. He was benched for Nick Foles in week three, before regaining the starting job in Week 12. Trubisky was selected by Chicago with a number-two pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Now what? I’m not a big fan of firing people but Bears fans lets be honest, did you really think the Bears were going to beat the Saints? Even if they did, how do they match up with the elite NFL teams like Kansas City, Buffalo, Green Bay, The Saints, etc?

The Bears are “In the Middle”, they’re not great, they are not the worst out of 32 NFL teams. But Bears fans should demand more than mediocrity! I’m a Bears fan, always have been always will be. Look at teams like the Chiefs, Saints, Packers, Bills, and even Tampa Bay. What do they all have in common? They all made the right choice when it came to drafting or trading for a Quarterback. The Packers have been the best at this having 2 hall of fame QB’s over the last 20 years. How many have the Bears had? The next chapter for the Bears must come all the way from the top of the organization. Which means

  1. Ted Phillips (who’s an accountant not a football man should be replaced with a real football person
  2. A new GM needs to take the helm. Ryan Pace will forever be tied to trading up, giving away draft picks to get QB Mitchell Trubiskey. It didn’t work, especially given the fact the DeShaun Watson for a National College Champion was available for the Bears to take as the consensus sure fire QB.
  3. Matt Nagy was often stubborn refused to take himself away from play calling, but seemed to get a bit smarter as a coach as the season went on. Give the roster Matt did a great job keeping this team on track. I would have no problems bringing Matt Nagy back as coach

If Bears fans want something to change, it all starts at the top. Please Bears, give us fans some hope for 2021!
