This season on American Idol, a video was revealed of Keith Urban when he was 16-years-old and on the Australian talent show, New Faces.  Keith didn't seem to be too pleased about the revealing of the video.

He recently told USA Today that he had blocked that performance from his memory.

In the interview, Keith said, "If somebody had gone, 'What were you like at 16?' I would have said, 'Decent. Decent guitar player. Decent singer.' But that performance was dreadful compared to what we're seeing now on Idol.  Had I judged me on that night, I never in a million years would have picked that kid to make a long-term career in music."

Keith will be performing at this year's CMA Music Festival, which will be held in Nashville from June 5-8.
Keith's Raise 'Em Up Tour will kick off in July and run through September.  Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge. will be joining him on the road as supporting acts.
He'll be performing at the 49th annual ACM Awards, on April 6th on CBS.

Like many Americans, Dierks Bentley was fixed in front of the TV over the weekend watching the NFL Playoffs. But Bentley didn't have to watch the New Orleans Saints' matchup with the Seattle Seahawks by himself because he had his three-month-old son, Knox, to bond with. Bentley took to Twitter to share the first picture of baby Knox, who was wearing a baby blue outfit with dark blue strips. In the caption for the photo, Dierks also expressed his gratitude to Little Big Town for supplying the cute outfit. Bentley tweeted, "watching football with my buddy knox. he wants me to give a shout out to @LBTmusic for his new duds! @nfl #NOvsSEA." Dierks and his wife, Cassidy, welcomed Knox to the family in October of last year as their third child. Knox is the couple's first boy and joins his older sisters Evie and Jordan. Carrie Underwood says Paul McCartney himself gave her the green light to perform the Beatles' classic, "Yesterday," during Sunday's (September 22nd) Emmy Awards. While some viewers criticized Carrie's rendition of the song, the superstar fired back on Twitter writing, "The coolest thing about singing 'Yesterday' on the Emmys is the sweet letter I got from Paul McCartney giving me his blessing to sing it!"

Carrie's performance in tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Beatles' appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show was the most-buzzed about social media moment of the live broadcast, reportedly generating more than 17,000 tweets per minute.

Prior to his big stadium show at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Saturday (June 1st), Kenny Chesney joined Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll and the team for their practice session. On Friday (May 31st), Kenny reported for afternoon practice at Virginia Mason Athletic Facility in nearby Renton, Washington for several hours of offensive drills.

Kenny said, "To feel the intensity of an NFL training camp, and to be out there running those drills . . . You get a real sense of how much focus and heart goes into preparing to do what they're going to do all season. Sports is such a big part of my life, it's a huge rush to be out on the field with such world class athletes."

The singer worked out with wide receivers Percy Harvin and Simeon Rice, running drills and catching passes from last year's NFL Pepsi Rookie of the Year Russell Wilson, who also was the Big Ten Quarterback of the Year in his final year of college play.

Kenny added, "You know when you've caught a pass from Russell Wilson. It's not like when we play football backstage . . . It's pretty serious. And I caught a few of'em, too. So it was a really good day!"

Keith traded guitar riffs with Keith Richards and Ron Wood, while swapping vocals and harmonizing with lead singer Mick Jagger before the sold-out crowd.

EMOTIONAL NIGHT AT BRUINS GAME AFTER BOSTON BOMBINGS: The Boston Bruins NHL game against the Buffalo Sabres last night (April 17th) was the first major sporting event in Boston since the marathon bombings Monday, and it was an emotional night at TD Bank Garden. There was a moment of silence before the game, and a "Boston Strong" tribute video was played, and even before that, outside the arena, fans hung a Bruins T-shirt with the name of 8-year-old bombing victim Martin Richard, who was a Bruins fans, on the statue of Hall of Famer Bobby Orr. In an emotional highlight, when the National Anthem was sung, regular performer Rene Rancourt began it, but then let the crowd take over, as everyone sang loudly for the rest of the anthem:

After the Bruins first goal of the game, the fans began chanting, "We are Boston!," which has become a rallying cry in the city since the bombing, and both teams saluted the crowd with their sticks up in the air after the Sabres' 3-2 victory.

  • The Bruins have donated $250,000 to the relief fund set up for the victims and their families.

College Student Breaks Record for Crushing Eggs with His Head!

A freshman at the Georgia Institute of Technology cracked the Guinness World Record for "Most Eggs Crushed With The Head" when he smashed 142 eggs in one minute.

Scott Damerow, from Corpus Christi, Tex., appeared on truTV's "Guinness World Records Gone Wild" in March, where he broke the previous record of 130 eggs, reported.

In the video, Damerow rhythmically moves down a table, breaking each shell as a live audience cheers him on. The former high school soccer star had always wanted a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

"I'm used to heading soccer balls in," he told truTV. "I figured I might as well use my hard head to break a world record."

But egg-cracking is not for the soft-skulled.

“My head felt pretty numb after that,” Damerow said afterwords. “I didn’t even realize I got cut by an egg shell because I had so much adrenaline.”

Toby Keith Reunites Wife with Soldier on Stage

Toby Keith reunited a U.S. soldier who was deployed in Afghanistan with his surprised wife during his recent concert in Houston, Texas. Toby pulled the woman from the audience and invited her on stage to help him sing his hit "American Soldier." At the close of the song, her husband appeared on stage in his fatigues to hand Toby his red, white and blue guitar. The woman did a double take, assuming he was just a guitar tech, but then realized who this familiar stranger was and they immediately hugged and kissed.

Toby told the crowd, "She didn't know he was coming in tonight. My beautiful crew told me before the show tonight that the girl sitting over here ... her husband's coming home tonight and she has no idea. So I want to pick her out. Welcome home, Major Cruz. Thank you for your service. Godspeed."

Toby then invited the couple to join him for a rendition of "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue." Click here to see the video of them reuninting on stage....

Kellie Pickler Shaves Her Head!

Country star Kellie Pickler is causing quite a buzz today after shaving off all her hair.

However, it’s not a new look she’s trying out, or a cry for help like Britney Spears’ stunt back in 2007. It’s quite the opposite actually.

She lost her locks as a show of solidarity to her best childhood friend, Summer Miller, who is battling breast cancer and starts chemotherapy tomorrow. Pickler refers to Miller as her “sister” and decided to undergo the hair buzzing yesterday in Nashville alongside Miller, who received her diagnosis this past June. Click here to see the video!

Little Big Town Pontoon Video with Other Country Stars

Little Big Town is loving the response they're getting to their hit single, "Pontoon," from both fans and fellow artists alike. The group was surprised by the celebrity attention being paid to "Pontoon" with the new viral video which features the likes of Luke Bryan, Wynonna, Darius Rucker, Thompson Square, Carrie Underwood, Eric Paslay, Sara Evans, Charlie Daniels, Jake Owen and Larry Gatlin.

Karen Fairchild tells us: ["Luke was the first one. We didn't know that they were doing that, and then I guess his performance was so inspiring (laughter) . . . It was. I would like to see the director's cut of his performance. (Jimi Westbrook) I would, too, cause I've heard about it. (Phillip Sweet) The unedited Luke Bryan version. (Karen) Yeah, so I guess then that encouraged them to ask some other artists to do it and then we heard about it and they asked us to do a little clip. We were the goodbye clip there and I don't know. We just never dreamed that all those people like Charlie Daniels and Larry Gatlin, that he would put on googles and sit in a baby pool! (Kimberly Schlapman) Yeah! (Karen) That's Larry Gatlin! (Kimberly) Crazy!"] Check out the video here....

Trace Adkins Shows Off His Behind

Trace Adkins has taken control of his Twitter page and given fans a treat with a picture of his barely-covered backside before he laid down to have some kidney stones removed. “@ Vanderbilt having kidney stones busted. No big deal,” Adkins posted with the picture yesterday. His bare badonkadonk is one of the first messages Adkins has personally sent to fans. “Trinity and Brianna have sore throats. Don’t want to get it. Sending them to China to get jobs,” he added later in the day, referring to his daughters. On Monday, Trace explained why he was finally joining Twitter in a video to fans. His flip phone had broken, so he got an iPhone and decided to learn how to use Twitter because he thought it’d be a better way to interact with fans during his “Songs and Stories” Tour. Hank Williams Jr. Pulled From Monday Night Football!

Hank Williams, Jr.'s comments he made about the President during his appearance on Fox & Friends yesterday (Monday, October 3rd) have gotten the singer yanked from Monday Night Football. Hank has famously sung the "Are you ready for some football?" theme song since 1989.

Hank criticized President Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner for playing a round of golf together by saying, "That's like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu."

Also said that Obama and Joe Biden are "the enemy."

ESPN told CBS Sports, "We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight's telecast."

Hank issued a statement to The Tennessean last night, saying, "Some of us have strong opinions and are often misunderstood. My analogy was extreme - but it was to make a point. I was simply trying to explain how stupid it seemed to me - how ludicrous that pairing was. They're polar opposites and it made no sense. They don't see eye-to-eye and never will. I have always respected the office of the President.

Every time the media brings up the tea party it's painted as racist and extremists - but there's never a backlash - no outrage to those comparisons... Working class people are hurting - and it doesn't seem like anybody cares. When both sides are high-fiving it on the ninth hole when everybody else is without a job - it makes a whole lot of us angry. Something has to change. The policies have to change."
